some useful stuff

hi all,
since i been back i have been on the look out to make my life a bit easier, i have found a few things that i think are pretty useful, ok the main use is probally for newbies like myself but incase they are of use to others i will post them here.
the first one is the baud rate calculator i posted in the other thread although actualy i prefer RB's calculation but someone my get use from it
this is a free prog and downloads to the pc i.e it isnt a online calculator

number 2 is programmers notepad, now this free little program i realy like alot. it has many great features includeing if you change the file in the notepad it updates the code in mplab automaticaly and vise versa, it also has a host of other very very nice features. give it a go.

third is a online calculator for pwm i realy like the simplicity of this you just dial in your clock and ask for the duty you want and it gives you the code! nice simple and quick

this one is a number converter a nice handy little tool that sits on my desktop now the program and link are from RB's link below and the program was written by RB himself, although it dosnt say on the site this program is confirmed working with win7 both 32bit and 64bit versions

the next is also from RB and his own creation, its a little different from the norm in that its a prime number calculator, i like this one alot as its not normaly something you stumble upon! nice one RB!

i will add some more as i come across them, i also have a number converter that sits on the desktop but cant find the link for it. soon as i do i will post it along with anything else i find that may be of use

i forgot the one i use most!!! electronics assistant now i personaly think this is a must have for noobies it is a desktopcalculator that has loads and loads of functions from things like resistor colour codes to settings for 555 timers and voltage deviders and many many i bet it has something for everyone! again its free and ver 4.2 has just come out

another tool i like is code modual libarary from microchip its basicaly a libray type program to keep your code snippets nice and neat and easy to get too, i have used this alot lately and find it very useful

this one is a online resource that has pinouts for cables mobile phones computers includeing oldies like c64 ect etc you need to dig around a bit but it has a huge amount of info

lol feel free to post links here syed, i am sure others have stuff hidden on there hard drives that are worth shareing. i realy like that microchip CML i use it all the time now

I hope it's not too cheesy to post a link to tools I created myself, but here's a Binary-Hex-Decimal converter that I designed to be very fast to start up and also fast to convert (minimum keypresses etc). It also displays ascii codes and keyboard codes etc;

@be80be great link i have added to the first post just to make life easier, Thanks RB! personaly i like to use stuff other members have done, realy glad others are joining in with there links it should make a realy good resource, cheers bryan1 a sticky would make it nice and simple for the newbies. once again i will add links to the top post to save time in the futur for people scrolling thru what will hopefully be pages of links! once i get a few more i will organaise the first post better.

seeing as i have time on my hands theese days what i think i will do over the next few days is reaarange my post and give screen shots etc of the programs and links on this page and try and give a full view of each one, so keep the ideas coming guys

ghostman11 the Electronics Assistant just got a update it was a great tool, but now it's even better Electronics Assistant

yep its one the things i like is it updates itself a realy tool!

The Rc filter tool is great and the 555 timer and the new regulator tool there awesome
