Hi,
I just bought a CD74HC123NSR thinking it was a SOIC, but its a "SOP"...and is wider than a SOIC. It wont fit the PCB.

...But mouser describe it as a SOIC here....

On page one of the datasheet its described as a "16SOP", but on page 10 its described as an "SO".

CD74HC123 datasheet

I thought "SO" and "SOIC" were supposed to be one and the same?

Thanks, i could be wrong, but doesnt EEVBLOG archive all threads after 6 months? (so they are not viewable).
