Hello,

I have the below snubber circuit. I don't have much experience with them. I'm trying to determine if the components used are suitable, specifically the resistors. The input voltage is 1200V max and Q2 triggered at 2Hz. Using .5*C*V^2 the cap energy is 0.72J. Now I need to figure out the voltage across each resistor to determine their individual power dissipation and that's where I'm a little confused of where to start.

Few days ago I decided to face the design of an RC snubber. The amount of application notes regarding how to calculate any type is huge. Power dissipated is also considered.
