Can anyone help find out what this IC is, i've googled high and low with zero luck. I've had this chip in my possesion for many years and haven't a clue where i got it from. thanks

Well I googled for "SN94281 datasheet" and got a heap of hits on the first page;

It seems to be a complete sound synthesiser on a single chip, VCO's, noise generators, onboard 125mW amp, etc.

Well i certainly didnt get those web page hits, thanks for the info. I remember now, i did get it from radio shack long ago. They used to have many many electronic parts and down to next to nothing nowadays.
