hi everyone. it feels nice to be back on the forum after such a long time.

i think ive spent too much time with FPGAs and now my skills with microcontrollers are rusting away.

im actually doing something on a dsPIC and i can't figure out how to do it. i want to read the 16-bit value of the timer and send it to the UART (8-bit) in two bytes. with verilog that would have been an easy thing to do but i dont remember how to do it in C.
