Our project is a real one and as follows:
We have 11 systems, each one has 16 sensors, which one of sensors is as a pick counter and the others send data after occurring a fault in system. Sensors send different voltages. And we want to read the all data of 16 sensors of 11 systems in serial mode and arrange them one after one in RS232 Port.
We want to monitor the systems by MSCOMM in VB.
What should I do?
Will PIC 16 FXXX and MAX 232 solve my problem? Or I need a special Micro controller? in an industrial zone with 100 meter length of cable is RS232 functional or not ( maybe i should use RS422?)?
I will appreciate your early reply.
