Schematic for LCD clock required:
I wish to find a schematic for a common type of LCD alarm clock.
These are so common they are given away as promo items:
Normally, a typical one contains an LCD which displays time, date
and alarm. On watches, they also include a stopwatch function.
I wish to use the alarm output (normally reserved for an audible
noise, to wake a person) for something else.

I presume that an IC might have been tailored for this purpose. In fact,
I would presume there are a number of generic styles of ICs, so if you
are aware of the location of the pinouts of an IC I would be grateful. Thank you.

Troy. :)

Troy - I purchased an IC from Radio Shack about 2 yrs ago - a complete alarm clock. LCD was the intended display, I think. It's one of those many projects where I procured the parts but never found time to build it. The IC cost about $3. Try the RS website to see if you can find it. The application sheet has all of the other circuit information.
