The ROHS-compliant part for this is available in single part quantity ($2.81/1): http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?name=MAX488CPA+-ND A possible substitute with superior specs is the LTC1481 ($2.75/1): **broken link removed** All these are DIP through hole parts.
