replacement for MAX488

Hello,

MAX488 is a full duplex RS422/485 transceiver..

I am looking for a replacement for it (because its out of stock\can't find anywhere else)..

Would be great if some one can recommend a replacement for it.

The ROHS-compliant part for this is available in single part quantity ($2.81/1):

All these are DIP through hole parts. Surface mount is available also.

RS485 is half duplex, you need two for full duplex RS422. Same pinout but different specs than a SN75176

Since you are apparently only willing to shop in one place, do you care to tell us where that is? While we sometimes enjoy guessing, it gets old very quickly.
