Seems to be misnomer on two of: wifi transmitter & receiver ?

How is it being said that two fully different division wifi transmitter (router, modem wifi, etc) and receiver (wifi adapter), but it the receiver must transmit back replying to server or such

Please explain up to giving usefulness, thanks before

Just bad terminology, either through poor translation or lack of understanding.

The proper names are "Access point" mode, as normally used by WiFi routers and dedicated APs,
And "Client" mode, as normally used by portable devices.

Many WiFi devices can work in either mode, plus there is "Ad-hoc" mode where devices connect together as peers.

the correct term for all wifi devices would be "transceiver".
