i got a queston about the cd40109....
the enable pins need to be connected to VCC or VDD in oreder to have the shifter to transmit the states to the output?
pls advice!

CD40109 enable inputs

The enable inputs should be tied to VCC to pass data through. In the datasheet a logic 1 is defined as Vcc at the inputs, and Vdd at the outputs. If you want the datasheet I can scan it and email it to you.

ok. thanks....
si if i have the inputs from some CMOS IC's powered by 5V, i need to connect the enables to +5V?
i use VDD as 12V, so a LOW to HIGH shifter......
