Pulse transformer / coil tester - slow turn on

I'm glad ron was able to sort you out. This is the difference between an expert helping you and an amateur helping you - he spots it straight away. I'd have figured it out if it was my own project but I'm all at sea helping someone else.
Glad you found out what a useful test instrument your finger is!
