Proteus 7 simulator

Hello

I'm trying to control 8 leds using only 4 output pins, I figured that I can do that by using logic gates. However, the leds are not working as expected when connected to the gates.

An AND gate with open circuits as input and output connected to the led and to the ground lights up the led -_-

If you use a 4051 1:8 analogue switch you can do it... 1 led output and three control outputs

Hi thanks for the reply,

my problem is that the leds are not behaving the way they should be when connected to the gates :/ like I said, an open circuit for an input of the gate should no way light up a led in real time
