Have a look:

It is a Samsung SyncMaster 2253lw that I bought 2 years ago.

If I try it on another computer, the problem ia still there.

The problem is intermittent, only when the monitor is warmed up. If I close it and put it back on after a while, it will run normally but will get back to that state at some time.

Any idea??

Thanks!

Well I think the problem was a lack of ventilation. It has been very hot around here the last fews days and the monitor being under a shevle with just 1/4 inch of clearence I thing it was overheating. I removed it from under the shelve for a better ventilation and, for now, the problem seem to be solved.

Install a fan

If it overheated, you could try putting a small fan in the back.:)
