I bought a cheap T amp from Hong Kong for a trip where I need a load mp3 player on batteries. The amp is rated at 15 watts X 2 channels but does anyone have an idea of wattage draw when playing very load? I realize that it's not going to be 30 watts but do you have an idea?
Definition of "loud" depends mainly on the sensitivity of speaker. If you run it on full power, you should expect about 50-60W. However music signal might draw less.
I know playing as loud as possible it seems to draw less than 2 amp as it works fine on a two amp power supply unfortunately my cheap tester can't be used as an inline amp meter as it can't handle more than 250 milli amps.
