Ah so it's not a UPS. So what is it? What sort of data are you trying to transmit? AC power DC power?

Are you trying to build an Ethernet over power MAINS device (HOMEPLUG) like this?

Remember it's YOUR FINAL PROJECT and is supposed to DEMONSTRATE YOUR SKILLS SO FAR.
