Poor mans spectrum analyzer

Has anyone read this book or built one of these?

A poor mans spectrum analyzer is a Digital storage scope. You can feed the data into any analasys software you want. Using a simple file converter you can usually take raw DSO information and convert them to a piece wise linear source for spice simulation, like LTspice which is free.

A good point. I paid less for my spectrum analyzer than for the digital storage scope.
