Look again at the graph I attached of the horrible frequency response of a piezo transducer. If you feed it a bunch of frequencies then you might hear some but not hear others. It will reproduce the distorted harmonics of lower frequency fundamental frequencies.
It resonates too much to be a speaker.
Some cheap speakers use a piezo tweeter. They sound like a whistle.
Very cheap speakers have a photograph of a tweeter instead of a real tweeter. They sound better than a speaker with a piezo tweeter. [smiley]
