PIC24FJ256DA210 Development Kit VS EasyPic6

Hi
I want to learn to develop application for TFT displays. Which of this dev kit: PIC24FJ256DA210 Development Kit VS EasyPic6 can you recommend? Is EasyPic6 more general dev kit compare to PIC24FJ256DA210 Development Kit which is only for developing TFT applications? Is EasyPic6 still adequate to develop professional TFT applications?
If I perches PIC24FJ256DA210 Development Kit do I need to bay software dev tool for dev professional applications or the tool is available free. (I use MPLAB + C18 now).
