I appologise if this question is over asked but i have searched high and low to no avail so far.

I am using the PIC18F458 and would like to know:

1. The internal oscillator frequency?
2. Do you need an RC circuit to get the internal oscillator to work?
3. If so what values of R and C would produce 4Mhz?

If you dont require the RC could somone please show me how to set up the OSCCON register so as to use the internal oscilllator.

thanks in advance

That is an old chip and doesn't have an internal oscillator. If you must have an internal oscillator then choose a newer chip.

Mike.
