Is there a big difference between 16F630 and 16F676.

I saw a project in PIC list about LM35 temp project. I like to taste it. But i dont hv PIC 16F676. But i have 16F630

The '630 doesn't have any A/D modules which you need to read the LM35...

The circuit and software doesn't look very complicated. Do you have any other PICs on hand with A/D modules?

Ya, like PIC16F628A 16F876A.
But i dont no how to write a program

hi,
In which language do you write your programs?
Also how are you going to output the temperature readings from thr LM35/F628A?

If you're just trying to duplicate the project then you probably should try to obtain the 16F676 device.

Good luck. Mike

If you don't want to program then why are you intested in PICs?

If you're curious about the LM35 just put a 9V battery and LM35 together. You can then just read the voltage out on a multimeter. No programming required.

Oh man. U guys r so serious.
Sorry! I'm really trying to be helpful.

It looks like a nice and fun project and it would be easy enough to convert to another PIC device if (qualifier) you had the knowledge and motivation to do so.

Since it seems you just want to build and play with the project, it's probably easier to use the same hardware and software provided by the author. Or, perhaps look for another similar project that uses the PIC devices you have on hand.

Good luck with your project. Mike
