Hi everyone,
Need help migrating from a pic16c57 to a pic16f57. Can I just assemble the asm file and send the hex file to the f57, or do I have to have the c57 code rewritten.

You will need to get the configuration bits changed. The code will be mostly the same but the devil is in the detail. You need to look at the data sheets for the two processors and work out where they differ.
Assuming the 16F57 is a replacement for the antique 16C57?, then MicroChip usually produce a migration document which explains simply and clearly what you have to do.
