I bought an OMRON H3Y-2 timer to momentarily turn on a motor every X seconds according to the timer dial. The spec sheet calls for power to pins 13 and 14. It also specifies Time limit contact NC (normally closed) (9-1,12-4), and Time limit contact NO (Normally open) (9-5,12-8). Does this mean I run a wire from pin 9 to pin 5, and from pin 12 to pin 8? When I tried this, the switch light clicked on after X seconds and stayed on. Bought the switch on EBay so I dont know if the switch is bad or I am wiring wrong. Also what pins would I hook the motor to?
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
The timed contacts are shown in the RED box of this image.
What is the power requirement of the light you are controlling.?

E

EDIT: what is the FULL type number of the H3Y, there are variants.

It is a H3Y-2. I have attached the spec sheet. The item I am trying to control is a standard 12 V windshield wiper motor.

Thanks
