Hi,

dug a little here there everywhere.

Realized I got a bunch of 5 banded resistors on hand.

Questions:
1) Which end do I begin with?
2) It is so tiny it is hard to figure out the black from the blue, Gold from the Orange...

There was an old post which is no longer open here.

There appears to be a fractionally larger gap between the orange and brown at the right hand side, which should mark the end of the value section.

I'd say they are 100K: Brown black black orange, 100 + 3 zeros.
Then the other brown, for 1%.

In addition to what rjenkinsgb notes, there is a larger space on the end of the resistor body, before the first band, than there is after the last band.
