Need low resistance ESD shoes

It seems that posts 3, 4 and 6 came to the same conclusion I did regarding the OP's question. I seem to be in good company.

So mass ignorance is the same as knowledge from your point of view?

I thought that even if safety was not an issue you don't want conductive because although it drains the charge ASAP, the rapid discharge can damage the component you pick up if it was not already charge-equalized. (i.e placing a charged component on a grounded metal surface will still blow it even though it will equalize the charge.)

My guess is there is an oversight or gap somewhere in your existing ESD control that you are unaware of.
