need help for C delay fun

hi friend.

i need help concerning with the C delay fun.

cos i use different processors i can't syncronize bet two coms with delay().

so tell me some independent function for delay.

what are you developing for? Full-blown PCs or microcontrollers?

i use 2 PC (personal computers )
i wanna send bit-stream from one com to the other.
another wanna sample it but timing is not out of the order

Why not just use the serial or parallel ports if you want to transfer data between two computers, or for that matter use network cards. None of those methods require you to produce any accurate timing - which can't really be done under Windows anyway (at least not to any decent resolution).
