Hello, could anyone please offer me some info about most commonly used fingerprint recognition chips?I know little about them,so a link to the corresponding datasheet is preferable.I'm a newcomer, waiting for a reply. My appreciation in advance!

I had the same question not long ago... scroll down a bit

https://www.electro-tech-online.com/threads/design-build-2-digit-7-segment-display.3225/ For breadboards, DIP can't be beat :) For production though you can get much smaller parts though, I like the PQFPs and SOIC types if I have to solder them myself. If a board house is gonna do the assembling then use the smallest you can get... just be sure that you can get to some via's or some other pads so that you can do some debugging if necessary.
