N64 rgb with deblur

Hi I was wondering if someone could answer a question I have about the N64 video game console. I’m trying to make an rgb pcb for the version that can be modded for analog rgb and add deblur to that. There are versions out there that use the altera max 2 CPLD which take the digital info and convert to analog. I was wondering what signals would I need if I were to use the same altera CPLD? Do I need digital input and output? It would be convenient to use the same ic because firmware for it is open sourced and available thanks!
