my 7 seg counting circuit

hi, im doing GCSE elctronics and my teacher never hels anyone so i came here. anyway, on my circuit, i have checked every component and every connection between my 40106 and my 2 4026B's and 7 seg's. and all of the connections are perfectly correct, but for some reason it counts from 66 and then counts jumbled up, it wont count in proper numbers...
plz can anyone help???

Could you attach a circuit diagram, maybe you are using the completely wrong circuit.

dont worry about this circuit, i found the problem after looking through all the components and the 40106 chip was not working!!!
