Depends on how you drive them of course, but if you look at the newer I2C/SPI 8/16/24 bit led drivers they are almost always current sink, so common anode in that case. Bought a Osram rgb to play with and you can use it either way, once you figure the pinout. Would like to try the Luxeon Rebel someday.
