Hi all,

Anyone know firstly the r/w endurance of your average MMC / CF card? secondly does this endurance mean 1,000,000 r/w to each bit / byte or to the whole card?

In other words if I wrote to address 0 1,000,000 time then I could write to address 1 1,000,000 and so on?

Thx

Is it clear?

is it clear what I'm asking? if not please say so and I will try to re-word it.

Thx

OK

Thx hero 999, in that case I shall re-word it

How many times can I save to address 0 of a MMC?

Then once I have passed the life span of address 0 can I write to address 1 or is that broken also?

Thx

Summary. Typical block size is 512.
Block sizes on exceedingly large cards seems to go up, at least effectivly if not logically. Actual real world endurance of flash memory is going to be HIGHLY process/device sensative. A higher quality/price card for the same memory size is likley to have an increased level of endurance.
