Micro-controller programming software based on BASIC

I'm learning micro-controller programming using WinAvr, which is 'C' based.

But I'm more comfortable with VB. So i want a programming soft which is based on 'BASIC / VB'

Can anyone , please, help me providing name (download link, if possible) of software where I can write program in 'BASIC' code.

note: other than BASIC Stamp Editor ( as it is for their own product)

Bascom-AVR is probably the best BASIC compiler for Atmel AVR microcontrollers. If you have previous experience with MS QuickBasic or VisualBasic, you will feel right at home. The demo version does not expire, but is limited to 4 kB of compiled code.
