Making a ultrasonic sensor display a grid on the computer

Hi Guy's,

Just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to make an ultrasonic sensor that can display a line representing objects in front of itself. The sensor would swivel on a slow moving servo.

I've never built a ultrasonic sensor, I have the parts on order and I'd like to know what I can do.

Possibly I'd need an encoder on the servo so there would be two reference points for the data.

Any ideas?

Yes thats pretty much the kind of thing I'm looking for, I'll try it with one rotating sensor and see if I get similar result. Thanks for the link
