My two nasties were when I was probably somewhere between 12 and 18 YO. I did describe 3.
A chain saw nick due to kickback. No stitches. Took care of it myself. No issues. Just a really ragged cut. Now I know what kickback is and how to prevent it. One way, of course, is a sharp edge.
The other one a squish. I pinched my pinky with a hammer when removing the E/I laminations when scrapping a transformer. I spilled my guts through a gash about 1" long. The scar is barely still visible some 40+ years later.
One of my others, was I was making a large contour cutting bit for a lathe and the file slipped and my finger got cut from the nice sharp tool.
You can't fix stupid. You can't even put a bandaid on stupid, because Bandaids won't stick to Teflon.
Oh, BTW. Ouch. Hope you feel better soon.
