load caps

Some were in all my junk I have lost my load caps for my 4mhz crystal
dig-i-key x1045-nd crystal 4 mhz 20pf
I did fined some 18 pf and 22 pf ceramic will these work if so which would be best

The 22pf should be fine for most microcontrollers.

thanks and sorry there for a 12f629 this a serial app so I'm using a _XT_OSC

How fast are you wanting to run the serial?, 9600 baud is perfectly fine using the internal oscillator.

yep 9600 and yes I have used the internal and in real cold weather I have had two stop working with the external never had a problem
better safe than sorry
