You need the LM2577ADJ for that........boost regulator configuration...

and if you look here it will give you some ideas.......

well the thing is that i saw a kit wich used this IC, the schematic is similar to the one in the datasheet you gave me(the one that has a filternig inductor too), and i was wondering if i could use it to get from 12V an adjustabel suply for 1.2 t o30V
