i am new to lcd technology.can you please guide me where (in which areas) lcds are used.

Digital watches, automobile dial indicators (the mileage meter in my car is an LCD and it's not even particularly modern) MP3 players. Copiers, walkman style CD player (Set top boxes tend do use VFD's) Alarm clocks, stove top timers. My meat thermometer has an LCD on it...
Okay.. I'm running out of ideas.
