LCD Test

[Blueprint]

Hi, me AGAIN! I've got hold of an LCD screen (GDM1601C -- Xiamen Ocular) from an old Velleman kit.

Anyway, Could any of you guys give me a quick snippet of code to use to test it actually works? Even if it's just turning all the letters 'A' on or something. Everything I've tried fails .

Blueprint, give Nigels site a try. It has a good deal of information about PICs and includes LCD tutorials with code.

I'm from China.I went to their official site but couldn't find any more info than that.However you may simply write a test routine using this LCD as an external RAM with any MC with parallel port.I will try to find out the driver chip of this LCD so that you can get the exact waveform you want.

If you do everything by the book and does not work than your LCD bad ! or just not conected by the book :roll:

just noticed KS0066U in the LCD pdf.Yeah,that's all you need besides the LCD document.
