LCD panels on televisions... is there a standard architecture ?

Some LCD panels used for about same size modern television have three, others four flexible foil connections from the TCON to the 'glass' , with drivers on them.

They usually are at the bottom of the panel. Is there a standard among manufacturers; or do you know of a link to learn how the sectioning or data flow of their construction ?

I would say there's no standard, and certainly on older sets the connections were normally at the top - but obviously it makes no difference top or bottom, it's just how you drive it.
