LCD Controller

Hey,

I have an ATmega324P microcontroller and I would like to control a 128x64 graphical LCD screen that does not have an LCD driver included. Is there an easy way to write characters to the LCD screen that doesn't include writing pixel by pixel?

If so, how would I go about doing it? If it helps, I am using AVR Studio and WinAVR to program the microcontroller.
