Junebug and USART connections

I am wanting to compile the SPI .bas in swordfish to be able to input the data from a max6675.
My question is connections for TX/RX to use the USART in mplab to decipher the max6675 output. THEN maybe conjure up a code to control an output on a 18F1320 or an 18F452 seeing how the 452 HAS an SPI pin already.
Eventually all is connected to an LCD when completed.
Original schematic uses an 16F88 and assy.I am more comfortable using Swordfish.
Programing using the ICSP header from the Junebug to separate circuit board.
Now what??
I had issues trying to use the USART and a 18F1320 on a separate board but found I need to connect from the Junebug to ??
my proposed schematic
My plan is to etch a circuit board as per schematic (the MAX6675 is smd) then write some code. Feel that this may aid in mounting the Max6675 and the schematic is the same as over at PCB Heaven
The temp controlled soldering iron.but using the 18F452 pic instead of the 16F88
before etching I guess ? I need to connect the Junebug to the TX and RX pins? to Junebug? or would iot be easier to just go straight to an LCD and forget the USART?

Now I no why I need glasses But maybe some one else will want to no where the TX and RX pins are.

That would be a good idea wish we could have the PC board file to so you could make your own

It's such a great tool programmer and tutor too.
