In the old days, chances are an engineer had graph paper of several types in his desk drawer. You never knew when you might need a piece of semi-log paper to plot the response of a filter.

**broken link removed** has a number of tools, references and on-line calculators available; one of the most useful I have found are various types of graph paper in black or color pdf formats. Look under the "Useful Stuff" tab.

They have these types:

Engineering Graph Paper

Log/Log Graph Paper

Semi-Log Graph Paper

Smith Chart Graph Paper

EEWEB also has various types of calculators for PCB design.

I have always hated doing hand-made graphs. Just use excel, or the google graph API for web-based displays with live updates.
