It's a trap!

The Eagle doc field of the frames is a bit overloaded displaying date and time accurate to one second.

I tried to get rid of the time stamp editing the variable name ">LAST_DATE_TIME" to ">LAST_DATE"

The result was the text ">LAST_DATE" in the doc field of a finished schematic design.

Eagle is obviously using the entire variable to be handled as a string.

Better leave it untouched.

Hmm.. in the first hand why would you edit something like that..?

You probably would need a time stamp on a circuit design if you are in urgent need of an alibi (e.g. being accused of murder :) )

The time stamps uses valuable space in the doc field which could be used for more info about the circuit.

may be the programmer returns the whole string..
and there is no change in the dll file (that's what its for) so NOCHANGE!
