Is potting my boards with black pigment ruining them ?

Hygroscopic Means it Absorbs Moisture (Water), Usually from the Air.
Obviousy that is a problem for this application.

But a lot of your window type compounds smell like Vinegar. Those ones are usually Acidic. DEFINATELY NOT ACCEPTABLE.

There are some RTV Rubber Compounds Available that are Suitable for what you are trying to do.

But if you want this to work for Long Term, I would suggest you get a Proper Recommended Electronic Potting Compound.

If you don't, the potting compound may screw up your circuit in a week, a month or even in a Year after potting.
