hi everyone.please help me why we use two ir emitters (ir led) instead of one ir emitter to design any ir remote control. .

and

What is the most frequently used ir coding format (RC5, SIRC...) ?
furthermore, can we add a few different ir coding formats in one remote control device that we create by using microcontroller such as 16f877...

if you help me, i will be pleased...

Check my PIC tutorials for IR remote control using the SIRC system, by FAR the most common though is the Philips RC5 system.
