Inverter for backlight

Hi guys,

I have one marine screen with one transformer damaged at the backlight board. I´ve contacted to the manufacturer of that unit to see if they can provide it. My question is, how or where can we find compatible boards for backlight in case we can´t find original?

Start with a google search for quad tube CCFL inverters.

look for the specialized company that supplies your monitors at large quantity (the field ? you name it) - if they want to stay in business they must have spares in their stores

You can get ccfl inverters off ebay, usually surplus, for those that want to experiment or re purpose the ccfl's.
Watch out for signals from the original inverter there might be an I'm Ok signal or the likes.

Have you checked that the correct voltages appear on the pins listed in the general description. I.E 5V on pin 7 and a more that zero on pin 5.

Hi,

finally they answered with an offer. In this case I´ll buy directly the original one, as you said I guess the only way is buy and experiment with different types of inverters in other cases.

I didn´t check the voltages because I already saw the problem is in high frequency transformer for the output.
