Infrared Thermometer Gun schematics anyone?

I'm sure most of you have seen them being sold starting at $100+, but I wanted to build one so was wondering if anyone had a circuit schematics of one?

What I'm talking about are infrared (laser?) based contactless thermometers that measure surface temperature from objects you point them at.
