Infrared Mouse

Howdi, i'm new here i hope someone can help me around here

Well i have a mouse that works with a infrared receiver
it's from Trust Ami Mouse Cordless
i opend the Ir receiver and there is a chip from A4tech
now is my question can i use the Ir receiver als as a normal Ir Adapter so i can also use it for othe devices with Ir like mobile phones
or does anyone know if there might be an driver/emulator so it can operate as an Ir Adapter??

The chip is not a normal IR receiver but is a low resolution CMOS camera which scans the surface for any movement.
