Infra Red Receiver + Transmitter circuit (simple)

Hi guys and girls,

I'm new on the forums and need a bit of help with my A-level course, me and my teacher cannot seem to make my IR system work and were wondering if anyone could help. I have been attempting to use these components from rapid electronics:
Receivers:
-PNA4602M
-SFH5110-36
-SFH5110-38
Transmitter:
-SFH409

My electronics teacher and i cannot derive a circuit that makes them work help would be greatly appreciated if available.
