Information on pulse width modulators?

are you looking into PWM for remote control applications (servo motors)?

I googled "pulse.width.modulation" and came up with a bunch of good sites.

I've looked at some of the google site and i've found a few that show good diagrams.

The purpose of the pulse width modulator is i'm attempting to integrate it into a system as a lighting dimmer with Electroluminescent lighting. I'm researching the possibilities of it's use in this purpose.

My main worries though is the square waveform and the possibility of RMI as this system is designed for aircraft.

You will have to build it on a double sided PCB so there is an earth plane to suppress the RMI.

Also, power supply filtering is essential. ie. inductors in series with the supply lines and good bypass capacitors.

You may also have to put the pulse through a low pass filter to increase the rise and fall times.

Alternatively, if you use an OpAmp that is designed for audio (eg. the TL07x series), its slew rate will limit the rise/fall times.
